Andres Cepeda, the renowned Colombian singer, songwriter and producer who has profoundly impacted the world with his extraordinary music and sold-out concerts, arrives in the United States today to tell more about his highly anticipated "Tengo Ganas" U.S. tour, which is scheduled to kick off in spring 2024, featuring a special appearance by Colombian singer-songwriter Alejandro Santamaria.
While his successful "La Ruta Púrpura" tour offered fans a more organic sound, "Tengo Ganas" will see the iconic artist create a dynamic new musical environment for his U.S. audience, promising an exciting and energetic show that is sure to get fans up and dancing all night long, and remind them of Cepeda's remarkable and unparalleled artistic versatility.
"Unlike La Ruta Púrpura, which was based on acoustic sounds of the grand piano, double bass and winds, this new Tengo Ganas Tour dives into the opposite pole of my career. This tour is Pop, it's Rock, it's electric guitars, synthesizers and drums", shares Cepeda.
The 19-date tour will kick off on April 9, 2024 in Nashville, TN and head to the West Coast to thrill audiences in Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Cepeda will then make several stops in the Midwest, offering performances in Dallas and Houston, before returning with great anticipation to the East Coast, where he will perform shows in cities such as Miami and Washington, D.C., among others.
This tour will also include a stop at New York's prestigious Carnegie Hall on May 1, where Cepeda previously presented his La Ruta Púrpura Tour in October 2022 to resounding success and sold-out crowds.
Alejandro Santamaria is a Colombian singer-songwriter who will be accompanying Andres Cepeda in these 19 shows in the United States, who presents a musical proposal that fuses the pop genre with the sound arrangements of rock, punk, urban and ballad. His ability to compose has led him to write with Mau & Ricky, Andrés Saavedra, Camilo, Andrés Cepeda, Maya, Keityn, Mapache, Yera, Ovy On The Drums, among others; allowing him to create honest songs, with stories and that have marked his personal stamp in the music industry.

While announcing his new tour, Cepeda also continues to celebrate his Latin Grammy for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, in recognition of his widely acclaimed 2023 album "Décimo Cuarto".
The 2023 Latin Grammy Awards will be broadcast from the FIBES Conference and Exhibition Center in Seville, Spain, on November 16.
