Miami, FL — August 05, 2026 — Renowned Bogotá-born singer-songwriter and producer Andres Cepeda continues exploring new formats and genres in one of the most prolific stages of his career. He now presents Andrés Cepeda Big Band 2, the second installment of this acclaimed musical project, recorded live during a series of twelve sold-out concerts held in June 2025 at Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo, an iconic venue located in Bogota, Colombia.
The venue, which has become a landmark in Cepeda’s artistic journey, has hosted several of his celebrated concert residencies, including Cepeda en Tablas, as well as a variety of musical productions that have defined his career.
With this new release, Andres Cepeda returns to the format that captivated both audiences and critics, blending his unmistakable vocal style with the grandeur of a full big band orchestra. Andrés Cepeda Big Band 2 features an entirely new repertoire from its predecessor, the album that earned him the Latin Grammy Award for Best Traditional Tropical Album in 2019.
Available in both audio and video formats across all major digital platforms and on YouTube, the production delivers a unique audiovisual experience celebrating the richness of Latin American music and its deep connection to jazz and the great orchestral traditions.
The release follows a landmark 2025 for Cepeda, highlighted by a successful international tour across the Americas and Europe in support of his album Bogotá. The album was nominated for a Grammy Award in February 2026 and also received a Latin Grammy Award at the most recent edition of the ceremony.
Although the Big Band format has been part of the artist’s repertoire for several years, this new production raises the bar even higher, featuring more than thirty musicians on stage, ambitious orchestral arrangements, and a powerful artistic vision filled with nuance and remarkable sonic depth.
The release of Andrés Cepeda Big Band 2 will also include a limited-edition collector’s vinyl. Designed for devoted fans, this exclusive format preserves the essence of the album while becoming a valuable collector’s item for music lovers and vinyl enthusiasts alike. The repertoire includes classics such as “Sway (Quién Será),” “Y Hoy Como Ayer” featuring Benny Moré, “Pachito E’ché,” “Lamento Borincano,” “Rayito de Luna” featuring Lila Downs, “El Merecumbé,” “Momposina,” and “Las Pilanderas” featuring Celia Cruz, among others, creating a selection that pays tribute to the rich musical heritage of Latin America and the Caribbean.

During the second half of 2026, Andres Cepeda is set to perform at Festival Cordillera, a two day festival in Bogota where he wil play with his higschool band Poligamia and will perform as a solo artist in the main stage, while maintaining an extensive schedule of concerts across Colombia, Ecuador, and Australia, further cementing a career that has established him as one of Latin America’s most beloved and respected artists.
