Miami, FL — April 17 2026 — After more than ten years without releasing a full-length album, Colombian singer and songwriter Nacho Acero returns with El Diferente, a production that marks a turning point in his career and positions him as one of the most solid and authentic voices in contemporary salsa.
El Diferente is an artistic statement built from his personal and musical evolution. In this project, Nacho Acero reaffirms his identity with a proposal that respects the essence of traditional salsa while expanding it into new sonic territories, fusing the classic with the contemporary without losing its roots. The result is an album that blends dance-driven energy, romantic sensitivity, and musical exploration that broadens the scope of the genre.
The production features key figures from the industry, including producer Orlando Libreros, as well as compositional contributions from names such as Iván Calderón and Ricardo Arjona, resulting in a solid, diverse, and carefully crafted repertoire. At the same time, Nacho Acero takes on a leading role as a songwriter within the album, penning several of the tracks and reinforcing his identity as an author. The project was mastered in Miami, ensuring a competitive sound aligned with international standards.
The album includes eight tracks that reflect Nacho Acero’s artistic versatility, featuring original compositions, collaborations, and reinterpretations of renowned works. It also highlights the participation of maestro Fruko on the track “Cachondea,” bringing a sense of tradition and historical weight to the project. The focus track, “Mi Sol y Luna,” captures the spirit of the album with a performance that connects the romantic essence of salsa with a contemporary production.
With El Diferente, Nacho Acero not only presents new music, but also a clear vision for his artistic path: to establish himself as a leading figure in today’s salsa through authenticity, honoring the essence of the genre while driving its evolution toward new global audiences. The project arrives a decade after the success of his previous album, Ayer y Hoy, which achieved strong sales and solid performance across digital platforms, and at a strategic moment in his career, following nominations at the Premios Nuestra Tierra, growing international presence in markets such as Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, and the United States, and the album’s submission for the Latin Grammy Awards, further strengthening his global trajectory.
