Alvarez made history during the 23rd Annual Latin Grammy Awards last week, becoming the oldest artist to win the prestigious "Best New Artist" award at the age of 95. Her groundbreaking win, moved the audience at the Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas to tears and left them deeply impacted by the incredible resilience and determination this unique artist has demonstrated. All while starting a new life, built on the profound strength of her great dream: to become a singer.

Angela's life has been celebrated in a beautiful documentary entitled "Miss Angela," which was developed by filmmakers Paul Toogood and Lloyd Stanton and narrated by legendary actor Andy Garcia; and she also made an appearance in the 2022 HBO movie "Father of the Bride," where she played the role of ¨Tia Pili¨, alongside Garcia.
