Miami, FL – 5 de junio de 2026 – Grupo Niche suma un nuevo reconocimiento a su legado tras ganar en la categoría Canción Tropical en Premios Tu Música Urbano Mix 2026 con “La Tierra del Olvido (Versión Salsa)”, su colaboración junto a Carlos Vives. La ceremonia se celebró este jueves 4 de junio en el Coca-Cola Music Hall del Distrito T-Mobile en San Juan, Puerto Rico, reuniendo a destacadas figuras de la música latina, productores, compositores y representantes de la industria.

El galardón celebra una colaboración entre dos pilares de la música colombiana: el universo caribeño de Carlos Vives y la fuerza salsera de Grupo Niche. En esta versión, “La Tierra del Olvido” adquiere una nueva dimensión tropical, donde la identidad, la memoria y la riqueza sonora de Colombia se encuentran con el sello inconfundible de una de las agrupaciones más importantes de la salsa a nivel mundial.

La noche también tuvo un significado especial para Grupo Niche, que formó parte de la gala como presentador y subió al escenario junto a Carlos Vives y Sergio George, reafirmando la presencia de la salsa dentro de una premiación que reconoce el alcance y la evolución de la música latina. Este momento llega después de su reciente reencuentro en vivo con Vives el pasado 23 de mayo en el Kaseya Center de Miami, fortaleciendo una colaboración que sigue conectando generaciones a través de la música colombiana.

El reconocimiento llega en una etapa de gran actividad para Grupo Niche. La agrupación lanzó recientemente Más Que Palabras, su nuevo álbum de estudio, una producción de nueve canciones inéditas que presenta una mirada contemporánea a su esencia: la fuerza del ensamble, la identidad colectiva y la evolución sonora de la salsa. Realizado bajo la dirección musical de José Aguirre y la dirección general de Yanila Varela, el proyecto cuenta con la interpretación de sus vocalistas Luis Araque, Álex Torres, Alejandro Íñigo y Fito Echeverría, consolidando una voz colectiva que honra la historia de Niche mientras proyecta su sonido hacia el presente.



En paralelo, Grupo Niche continúa llevando su música a escenarios internacionales como parte de su gira global Niche Disco Tour 2026. La agrupación se prepara para presentarse en Estados Unidos, México, Guatemala, Colombia, Suiza, España y Perú durante los próximos meses, con fechas destacadas como su participación junto a Nathy Peluso en Salsa Spectacular, el próximo 15 de julio en el Hollywood Bowl de Los Ángeles, y su esperado concierto del 31 de octubre en Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, donde el público del sur de Florida vivirá una noche dedicada a la salsa, la celebración y la evolución musical de una agrupación que continúa marcando la historia de la música latina.

THE LEGENDARY COLOMBIAN GROUP WON IN THE TROPICAL SONG CATEGORY FOR ITS COLLABORATION WITH CARLOS VIVES, IN A NIGHT WHERE IT ALSO TOOK PART IN THE GALA AS A PRESENTER AND JOINED THE SAMARIAN ICON AND SERGIO GEORGE ON STAGE.

Miami, FL – June 5, 2026 – Grupo Niche adds a new recognition to its legacy after winning in the Tropical Song category at Premios Tu Música Urbano Mix 2026 with “La Tierra del Olvido (Salsa Version),” its collaboration with Carlos Vives. The ceremony took place this Thursday, June 4, at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in Distrito T-Mobile in San Juan, Puerto Rico, bringing together leading figures from Latin music, producers, songwriters and industry representatives.

The award celebrates a collaboration between two pillars of Colombian music: Carlos Vives’ Caribbean universe and Grupo Niche’s salsa power. In this version, “La Tierra del Olvido” takes on a new tropical dimension, where Colombia’s identity, memory and sonic richness meet the unmistakable imprint of one of the most important salsa groups in the world.

The night also held special meaning for Grupo Niche, which took part in the gala as a presenter and joined Carlos Vives and Sergio George on stage, reaffirming the presence of salsa within an awards show that recognizes the reach and evolution of Latin music. This moment follows its recent live reunion with Vives on May 23 at Miami’s Kaseya Center, strengthening a collaboration that continues to connect generations through Colombian music.

The recognition comes during a highly active chapter for Grupo Niche. The group recently released Más Que Palabras, its new studio album, a nine-track production of original songs that presents a contemporary look at its essence: the strength of the ensemble, collective identity and the sonic evolution of salsa. Created under the musical direction of José Aguirre and the general direction of Yanila Varela, the project features performances by vocalists Luis Araque, Álex Torres, Alejandro Íñigo and Fito Echeverría, consolidating a collective voice that honors Niche’s history while projecting its sound into the present.



In parallel, Grupo Niche continues to bring its music to international stages as part of its global Niche Disco Tour 2026. The group is set to perform across the United States, Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia, Switzerland, Spain and Peru in the coming months, with standout dates including its participation alongside Nathy Peluso at Salsa Spectacular on July 15 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and its highly anticipated October 31 concert at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, where South Florida audiences will experience a night dedicated to salsa, celebration and the musical evolution of a group that continues to shape the history of Latin music.
