Miami, FL – 20 de agosto de 2026 – Sergio George ingresará al Salón de la Fama de los Compositores Latinos como parte de su clase 2026, un reconocimiento a una trayectoria de más de cuatro décadas que ha dejado una marca profunda en la evolución de la salsa y la música tropical. La ceremonia de inducción tendrá lugar el miércoles 14 de octubre durante la 13.ª edición anual de los Premios LA MUSA, en The Flamingo Theater de Miami.

Productor, arreglista, pianista y compositor, George ha sido una figura determinante en el desarrollo del sonido de la salsa contemporánea y en su llegada a nuevas generaciones y mercados alrededor del mundo. A lo largo de su carrera ha trabajado junto a figuras como Marc Anthony, Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Jennifer Lopez, Thalía, Prince Royce y Maluma, entre muchos otros, construyendo un catálogo que atraviesa distintas épocas y estilos de la música latina.

Su trayectoria reúne 19 premios GRAMMY y Latin GRAMMY, además de haber sido reconocido en cuatro ocasiones como Productor del Año. Más allá de los galardones, su trabajo como productor y arreglista ha sido fundamental en grabaciones y proyectos que ampliaron el alcance de la música tropical, combinando la tradición salsera con una visión de producción que ha evolucionado junto a los cambios de la música latina.

Su ingreso al Salón de la Fama reconoce precisamente ese recorrido y la influencia de George detrás de algunas de las producciones que han contribuido a definir la salsa de las últimas décadas. Al anunciar a los nuevos miembros de 2026, Rudy Pérez, presidente y CEO del Salón de la Fama de los Compositores Latinos, destacó que los homenajeados de este año representan “excelencia, creatividad y un impacto duradero en la música y la cultura latinas”.

El reconocimiento llega además en una etapa en la que George continúa desarrollando nuevas propuestas alrededor de la salsa. En años recientes, el productor ha impulsado proyectos como ATACA SERGIO! Presents: URBAN SALSA SESSIONS!, llevando su experiencia a colaboraciones con artistas de distintas generaciones y explorando nuevas formas de acercar el género al panorama musical actual.

Junto a Sergio George, la clase 2026 del Salón de la Fama de los Compositores Latinos incluye a Yoel Henríquez, Danny Daniel, Kike Santander, Mario Quintero Lara y Gian Marco. La ceremonia de los Premios LA MUSA reunirá el próximo 14 de octubre a compositores, artistas, productores, editores y figuras de la industria para celebrar a los creadores cuyo trabajo ha contribuido a definir y expandir la música latina alrededor del mundo.

Miami, FL – August 20, 2026 – Sergio George will be inducted into the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame as part of its Class of 2026, recognizing a career spanning more than four decades that has left a profound mark on the evolution of salsa and tropical music. The induction ceremony will take place on Wednesday, October 14, during the 13th annual LA MUSA Awards at The Flamingo Theater in Miami.

A producer, arranger, pianist and songwriter, George has been a defining figure in the development of contemporary salsa and its reach across new generations and markets around the world. Throughout his career, he has worked with artists including Marc Anthony, Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Jennifer Lopez, Thalía, Prince Royce and Maluma, among many others, building a body of work that spans different eras and styles of Latin music.

His career includes 19 GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY Awards, as well as four Producer of the Year honors. Beyond the accolades, his work as a producer and arranger has been instrumental in recordings and projects that expanded the reach of tropical music, combining salsa tradition with a production vision that has evolved alongside the changing landscape of Latin music.

His induction into the Hall of Fame recognizes that trajectory and George’s influence behind some of the productions that have helped define salsa over the past several decades. In announcing the 2026 inductees, Rudy Pérez, Chairman and CEO of the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame, highlighted that this year’s honorees represent “excellence, creativity and a lasting impact on Latin music and culture.”

The recognition also comes at a time when George continues developing new projects around salsa. In recent years, the producer has spearheaded projects such as ATACA SERGIO! Presents: URBAN SALSA SESSIONS!, bringing his experience to collaborations with artists from different generations while exploring new ways to connect the genre with today’s music landscape.
