Miami, Florida. Enero 31, 2023. Surreal360: A Salvador Dalí Experience incluye más de 200 obras gráficas originales del artista español y llegarán por primera vez a Miami donde se exhibirán junto a una excepcional experiencia multisensorial para todas las edades.

Se exhiben las obras gráficas de la Colección Shanahan compuestas por litografías, grabados, esculturas, platas y medallas.

Esta colección privada se empezó a gestar en al año 2000 a iniciativa del Sr. Santiago Shanahan apasionado por el artista, con el fin de generar una exposición itinerante para difundir su trabajo inmortalizando al genio catalán en todas sus facetas como Escritor, Escenógrafo, Productor, Director, Diseñador, Inventor, Decorador, Muralista, Arquitecto, Artesano, Escultor, Músico, Investigador, Pedagogo, además de genial Pintor del Siglo XX. 

En sus propias palabras “La selección de lo ideal y lo posible en días sin noches. La búsqueda en países y continentes de esas perlas, de esas series. Y así, mágicamente, como en todas las ilusiones se corporizaron Grabados, Pegasos en vuelo, Litografías, Visiones de Ángeles, Serigrafías, Esculturas, Unicornios, Fotos de Bigotes Blancos, Textos, Medallas, Discóbolos, Mitos y Leyendas, Homero y Lincoln, Don Quijote y Gala, Adán Eva en su Paraíso de Plata, Placas, Relieves y Dalí, siempre Dalí, desde su cosmos junto a Rafael, Velázquez, Vermeer y Leonardo, guiando -discrepando – asistiendo -interfiriendo – construyendo , vigilante y observador a través de su pararrayos personal.”

Así nace esta exhibición que ha recorrido norte y sur, disfrutada por miles de espectadores que se sumergen en el surrealismo y en un mundo onírico. 

La exhibición llega a Miami bajo la curaduría de Ignacio Shanahan e incluye una serie de fotografías realizadas por Enrique Sabater, secretario y hombre de confianza de Salvador Dalí quien acompañó al artista por muchos años en su devenir por el mundo. Se convirtió además en el fotografo de Salvador y Gala en su entorno personal logrando captar imágenes de su intimidad familiar.

Una aventura completamente innovadora, Surreal 360: A Salvador Dalí Experience consta de cuatro componentes: las obras gráficas originales de Salvador Dalí, Realidad Aumentada, Experiencia escultórica multisensorial en un interesante viaje multimediático con proyecciones, efectos visuales y música creados exclusivamente para la exhibición, y una epicúrea terraza temática para culminar su experiencia. 

Con la adición de tecnología de realidad aumentada, los invitados se sentirán viviendo en el interior del mundo de Dalí, mientras se interactúa y se profundiza en sus obras de arte. Los elementos 3D de sus pinturas saltan de las paredes superando los límites de la imaginación.

Como uno de los más grandes artistas contemporáneos y padre del surrealismo, Salvador Dalí se hizo famoso por sus intrigantes imágenes oníricas, con las que desafió el statu quo y los límites de la expresión creativa como nadie lo había hecho antes que él. Dicho con sus propias palabras:

On display will be the graphic works of the Shanahan Collection, including lithographs, etchings, sculptures, money and awards. This private collection started to take form in the year 2000 through the initiative of Mr. Santiago Shanahan, an enthusiast of the artist, with the goal of creating a traveling exhibit to publicize his work, immortalizing the Catalonian genius in all his facets as a Writer, Set designer, Producer, Director, Designer, Inventor, Decorator, Muralist, Architect, Craftsman, Sculptor, Musician, Scholar and Teacher, along with brilliant Painter of the 20th Century.

In his own words: “The selection of the ideal and the possible on sleepless nights. The quest in countries and continents for those pearls, for those series. And, magically, just like that, as in all illusions were materialized Etchings, Pegasus in flight, Lithographs, Visions of Angels, Silkscreens, Sculptures, Unicorns, Photos of White Mustaches, Texts, Awards, Discuses, Myths and Legends, Homer and Lincoln, Don Quixote and Gala, Adam and Eve in their Silver Paradise, Plaques, Reliefs and Dalí, always Dalí, from his universe beside Rafael, Velázquez, Vermeer and Leonardo, guiding-disagreeing-assisting-interfering-building, watchful and observant through his personal lightning rods.”

This is how this exhibition was born, and it has travelled north and south, enjoyed by thousands of spectators who immerse themselves in surrealism and in a dreamlike world.

The exhibit arrives in Miami under the curation of Ignacio Shanahan and includes a series of photographs produced by Enrique Sabater, Salvador Dalí’s secretary and right-hand man who accompanied the artist for many years in his evolution around the world. He also became Salvador and Gala’s photographer in their personal space, capturing images of their familial intimacy.

A completely innovative adventure, Surreal 360: A Salvador Dalí Experience consists of four components: Salvador Dali’s original graphic works, Augmented Reality, a multi-sensory sculptural experience in an intriguing multimedia journey with projections, visual effects and music created exclusively for the exhibit, and a thematic epicurean terrace to conclude their experience.

With the addition of augmented reality technology, guests will feel as though they are living in Dali’s inner world while they interact and dive into his works of art. The 3D elements from his paintings leap off the walls, exceeding the limits of the imagination.

As one of the greatest contemporary artists and the father of surrealism, Salvador Dalí became famous for his intriguing dreamlike images, with which he defied the status quo and the limits of creative expression as no one had done before him. Said in his own words:

As part of this journey through the Dalinean universe, the public will be able to top off the tour on a delightful open-air terrace and enjoy a Spanish culinary experience, pleasant conversation, photo opportunities and buy exclusive official souvenirs that will only be available at the exhibit.
